Christmas Decor 2010

This is a mini nativity set given by Drew's sister Jessie last year as a gift. We love it and it goes great in our almost white kitchen.
This is an ornament that I had growing up. It wasn't mine and I'm not sure my mom knows I stole it from the tree two years ago... but I love it and needed something from home to remind me..of home. You pull the red ball down and things pop out.. like chickens.
This is a new addition for this year. I think they were meant to be ornaments.
Drew's mom Peggy gave us these and we love them! It's a little difficult to figure out which one is which... but I think you get the idea.

These are a few of the things we put up for Christmas. It's always hard to decorate big time when we know we'll be moving. I was watching a morning show on Jet Blue after Thanksgiving and they were talking about the Do's & Don'ts about decorating for the Holidays.. and one of the biggests DON'TS was to not put out ALL of your Christmas decor you've ever been given or bought..well sorry sir but we had no choice. Except we threw away our garland after it's first use 2 years ago because I hated the leftovers it gave us.

On a completely different note- we woke up this morning with the sound of helicopters. Drew went and took a shower while I meandered on the internet- to see that the Provo Tabernacle building was burning down. It's really terrible news. I hope no one purposely harmed it. I read in reports that a BYU film crew were filming there last night for a Christmas thing.. sad. We live only a few blocks from it and have visited it a few times for Christmas concerts and stake conferences. Too bad we missed this last stake conference.

This is a sweet post.

I love the ornaments my family has. They bring back terrific childhood memories.
